EASTON, Conn. Earthworks was busy setting up Easton's granite for the Sept. 11 memorial on Wednesday.
Three benches are included in remembrance of the three members of the Hanson family who died in the attacks: Peter Burton Hanson and Sue Ju Kim Hanson and their daughter, Christine Lee Hanson.
The large plaque states, "Easton remembers September 11, 2001. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost on this tragic day. The citizens of Easton honor the victims and loved ones left behind."
Followed is a quote by Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us."
