Brett Saltus 49, of Fairfield is in big trouble with Westport police after they received a call of a pickup truck driving erratically on Easton Road on Wednesday. The truck pulled into the driveway of a house across the street from Coleytown Elementary. When police found the truck, they saw Saltus walking around the property. They allegedly found several hundred plastic bags, some filled with heroin, as well as hypodermic needles in his vehicle. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance near a school. He is due in court on Sept. 7.

- Giovanni Biasetti of Norwalk, suspected in the Aug. 14 burglary at Sasco Creek Village, was turned over to Westport police on Friday on an arrest warrant. Biasetti, 30, was in the custody of Norwalk police on unrelated charges when Westport police were notified. In the Aug. 14 burglary, cash and prescription medications were stolen. Biasetti is charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny. He is due in court on Sept. 7.
-Two people accused of shoplifting from CVS were arrested Friday after being identified by CVS employees as the culprits. Officers located Jason Fazekas, 32, of Bridgeport and Stacy Brady, 28, of Shelton nearby. They are charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit a crime. They are due in court on Sept. 7.
