WESTPORT, Conn. A former Westport restaurant employee was arrested by Westport police last Thursday on a warrant charging her with forgery, police said.
Fairfield resident Mary Miller is suspected of altering patrons' credit card receipts while she was employed at Bertuccis last December. Miller, 24, allegedly increased the tip amount on receipts and pocketed the cash, the police report states.
Miller was charged with third-degree forgery, illegal use of a credit card and sixth-degree larceny. She was released after posting a $5,000 bond and is due in court on March 26.
