WESTPORT, Conn. A former Stop & Shop employee was arrested by Westport police Thursday on a warrant charging her with stealing from the store.
According to the warrant, Kelly Duval, who worked at the customer service desk, made fraudulent returns and calls to Jamaica from the store in July, police said.
State Police contacted Westport Police Thursday night to report that Duval, 27, of Bridgeport, had been involved in a car accident on I-95 and was being transported to St. Vincent's Hospital. Officers arrived at the hospital and took her into custody after she was discharged. She was charged with fourth-degree larceny and was released after posting a $5,000 bond. She is due in court on Oct. 31.

Two cars were broken into last Tuesday night in the parking lot at 1200 Post Road E., police said. Both cars had a window smashed. A purse was stolen from one car and miscellaneous electronics from the other.
