Eversource: All Westport Outages Expected To Be Fixed By Wednesday Evening

WESTPORT, Conn. -- After thousands of people in Westport lost power on Monday, Eversource was working Tuesday to repair the couple hundred outages that remained in town, with an estimated time of restoration predicted by Wednesday evening.

As of 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, there were still 181 customers in Westport without power, down from more than 7,000 the day before. Eversource announced to the Westport Office of Emergency Management that it was working toward a complete restoration of power for all customers in town. The estimated restoration for the majority of Westport Eversource customers is on or before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Westport officials are warning residents to beware of any downed wires that may be in town. If you encounter a downed wire, stay at least 10 feet away, assume the wire is live, and call 911 immediately.
