Lifelong Westport resident Eugenie Thrush, a retired bookkeeper, died Saturday. She was 83.
Thrush was born Feb. 23, 1928, and was a 1945 graduate of Staples High School. Before she retired in 1984, she worked 39 years as a bookkeeper for Thrush Press in Stamford.
She is survived by three nephews, four nieces and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by one niece.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 21, at 1 p.m. in Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main St. A memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Christ and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 75 Church Lane.
