EASTON, Conn. – Helen Keller Middle School and the Easton Senior Center are now open for all residents without power who need to charge cell phones, get a warm meal or take a hot shower.

The middle school will be open from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, said First Selectman Tom Herrmann. Residents are urged to bring their own towels and toiletries.

The Easton Senior Center is also open for all residents looking to get out of the cold.

“We have been open all night, we have heat, lights, hot water and beds for anyone who needs them,” said Senior Center Director Valerie Buckley.
