Another storm passed through Easton Wednesday, dropping freezing rain and even causing the north end of Route 59 to close this morning.
Easton police reported that few residents ventured into the roads during the storm, allowing road crews ample time to plow. More than 30 residents were without power as of 3:30 p.m., according to the United Illuminating Co. UI stated that it hopes to restore power to these homes by later this evening.
Residents reported no disabled vehicles or accidents to the police either, although the winter weather advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.
