EASTON, Conn. -- The Conservation Commission voted Tuesday to deny the application by Saddle Ridge Developers LLC for 99 townhouse units, 30 percent of which would be deed-restricted as affordable housing. The project would occupy property located on Sport Hill Road, Silver Hill Road, Cedar Hill Road and Westport Road.
"The final written findings and resolution without edits is being prepared and will not be ready for a day or so," said Krista Kot, Conservation Commission secretary.
Members of the Conservation Commission and Easton residents raised concerns during public hearings about the nine proposed condominium associations that would be responsible for maintenance.
The Coalition to Save Easton , represented by Chris Miles, claimed the development would harm the watershed, increase traffic and increase property taxes.
