Even a donkey knows when the weather has been too much. During normal business hours, our furry friend works the field at Lakeview Orchards in Easton. Tuesday, however, he was doing his best to keep his fur from freezing.
This beast of burden had his hooves fully occupied for stability as the rain poured across lower Fairfield County, flooding roads and creating havoc in driveways. The two feet of snow that fell last week is now a crunchy plate of iciness, waiting to slip you up if you're not careful. Even our donkey friend wasn't sure about his footing.
If you have pets, now is a good time to make sure they stay inside where it's warm. The storm is expected to continue into Wednesday, so stay safe and try to stay dry.
