Stratford resident Robert Morris probably wishes he had gotten his brake lights fixed. Westport police pulled him pulled over Monday afternoon on Post Road East for having defective brake lights.
A computer check of his name revealed Fairfield police held a warrant for his arrest. In waiting for the warrant to be confirmed, the officers reportedly saw Morris, 52, moving around in his car as if he were trying to hide something under the seat.
A search of the car turned up a pipe used for smoking marijuana and a plastic bag containing marijuana. Morris was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 13.
