Things got ugly between a Westport mother and daughter Tuesday afternoon after Lindsey Reed of 1655 Post Road E. allegedly threatened her mother during an argument. According to police reports, Reed, 23, broke her mother's cell phone in half when her mother tried to call police. She also allegedly kicked holes in the walls of the house. Reed was charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call and third-degree criminal mischief. She appeared in court Oct. 13 and her next court date is Nov. 10.
A Bridgeport man, Joshua Yard, who was present during the dispute but uncooperative with police was handcuffed for safety reasons and pat-searched. The 27-year-old was found to be in possession of a prescription bottle with label torn off that contained nine Clonazepam pills. He was charged with narcotics possession in a non-original container and possession of a controlled substance. He is due in court Oct. 22.

Bridgeport residents Cleotilde Amatitla and Eliza Zenteno, former members of a cleaning crew at Home Goods at 1850 Post Road E., were charged with stealing from the store. According to police reports, one of the store's loss prevention specialists reported that Amatitla, 35, and Zenteno, 28, took $15.95 worth of items from a bin near the front of the store. They were arrested Tuesday and charged with sixth-degree larceny. They are due in court on Oct. 22.
