Darien Man Gets 18 Months Prison For Selling Pot In Restaurant

DARIEN, Conn. -- Namgyao Kelsang, a Darien man charged with selling marijuana inside of his former place of employment, Steam, was sentenced Thursday, June 25 to 18 months in prison, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Kelsang, 20, was charged in January with two counts of illegal sale of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of narcotics and one count of conspiracy to sale of a controlled substance.

Before his arrest, controlled purchases were conducted by police after they received information about Kelsang selling marijuana to teens inside the restaurant or in the back parking lot, according to the Advocate story.
