A Fairfield resident who reportedly was overcome by curiosity was arrested Sunday night by Westport police. Rodgers Franz, 55, was charged with simple trespass after police received a call of a suspicious person driving around the property of a house on Cross Highway.
According to police, Franz had no reason for being on the property. He told police he was driving around because he was curious about the property. He was served with an infraction summons for the charge.

Matthew Faillace, 29, of Weston was arrested by Westport police Sunday following a minor car accident at 41 Oak St. Upon arrival, police noticed that Faillace, the operator of the vehicle, was unsteady on his feet. Officers also smelled alcohol on his breath. After failing field sobriety tests, Faillace was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, having insurance coverage below the minimum, operating under suspension and failure to drive in the proper lane. He is due in court on Sept. 8.
? Katrina Lepley of Stratford was arrested Aug. 25 on a warrant stemming from a case in June. According to reports, Lepley, 22, is suspected of attempting to pawn stolen items at Sam Sloat Coins, located at 606 Post Road East, while accompanied by a minor. She is charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and risk of injury to a child. She is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 7.
