WESTON, Conn. – Twenty-five CL&P crews and 31 National Guardsmen are in Weston Friday cutting and cleaning trees following Hurricane Sandy.

CL&P reports that 76 percent of residents remain without power and a spokesman said no new information is available, with restoration expected for most customers by Monday or Tuesday.

CL&P data reports 2,926 Weston customers without power out of a total of 3,808 town customers.

The crews were clearing trees from roads that remain blocked, including Ledgewood Ave. where police waited for a National Guard crew early Friday afternoon.
