FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – After a year of issues with food poisoning, Chipotle Mexican Grill will close all of its locations nationwide on Tuesday, Feb. 8, for a meeting on food safety, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The meeting takes place after the company had to deal with multiple outbreaks of food poisoning across the country, the Tribune noted.
Over 400 people suffered from six outbreaks of norovirus, E. coli and salmonella from July to December, reported the Chicago Tribune.
Chipotle has nine locations in Fairfield County: single stores in Westport, Shelton, Bridgeport, Fairfield and Danbury, with two each in Greenwich and Darien.
