Charles A. Frazer, Enjoyed Hunting

Westport resident and sportsman Charles Allen Frazer  died Monday at Cambridge Manor in Fairfield. He was 96. Frazer was born Dec. 25, 1913, in Westport, where he lived most of his life before moving to Cambridge Manor.

Husband of the late Helen Cable Frazer, he was employed as a printer with Jones Press before he retired. Frazer was a member of the New Canaan Rifle and Pistol Club and the Wooster Mountain. Gun Club. He also enjoyed hunting and trapping.

He is survived by a son, Gary Frazer and his wife, Gail, of Pinehurst, N.C.; two daughters, Lynda Frazer of Fairfield  and Kathy Mitaly and her husband, John, of Easton; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Avery, and a grandson.

Funeral services will begin Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road E. Interment will follow in Willowbrook Cemetery. Calling hours are scheduled for Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a favorite charity would be  appreciated.
