WESTPORT, Conn. Disorderly conduct charges against Westport resident David Pogue , a technology columnist for The New York Times, and his wife, Jennifer, were dismissed Wednesday at Norwalk Superior Court, The Hour reports .
The charges stemmed from a May 16 domestic dispute at the couple's 18 Woody Lane home in which David, 48, and Jennifer accused each other of assault. The couple got into a verbal disagreement after Jennifer showed up at their home to visit the children, police reported. David said Jennifer began recording the argument on her iPhone and that when he went to take the phone away, she bit his arm, according to the police report.
Jennifer told police she went into the bedroom to read a book following the argument. She said she was on the bed, reading, when David came in, grabbed her phone and began hitting her in the head. She told police she bit David's arm in self-defense.
Both David and Jennifer were injured at the time of their arrest. The couple is reportedly going through a divorce.
