Westport firefighters responded to a two-car accident and a possible car fire Friday at about 7:22 p.m. When firefighters arrived at the accident, which happened near 1599 Post Road E., they determined the smoke was steam from one of the car's radiators, Assistant Fire Chief Robert Kepchar reported.
Kepchar said injuries were reported, and Westport EMS treated people at the scene. There was no information available on whether anyone was transported to the hospital.
Both cars were towed. Firefighters cleaned up the fluids spilled in the accident. The accident was cleared at about 8 p.m. Westport police were investigating the cause. Follow The Daily Westport on Facebook and Twitter .
