WESTPORT, Conn. Norwalk resident Frederick Macarthur was charged with DUI in Westport last Saturday morning after his car was spotted parked in the middle of the road, police said.
Officers were called to Post Road West at Sylvan Road North around 3:20 a.m. on a report of a car stopped in the middle of the road. When officers arrived, they found Macarthur inside the car, which was stopped in the right eastbound lane. The car was running, but in park, with its lights off, police said.
When Macarthur, 69, came out of the car, officers smelled alcohol on his breath, police said. He failed field sobriety tests and agreed to urine test, police said.
He was charged with operating under the influence and released after posting a $500 bond. He is due in court on Monday.

? A Bridgeport resident was arrested last Friday night after he repeatedly cut-off another driver, police said. Rigoberto Morales, 22, was spotted driving west on Post Road East. When another driver tried to switch lanes, police said Morales cut directly in front of the other car, twice, preventing it from switching lanes. He cut the other car off a third time and nearly forced the other car off the road, police said. Morales did not use his turn signal at any time. He was stopped and charged with reckless driving and driving without a license. He was released after posting a $500 bond and is due in court on Monday.
? Westport resident Alec Lundberg, of 6 Blackberry Lane, was charged with sale of alcohol to minors last Thursday after police received a disturbance complaint about a party, police said. When officers arrived, they were met by Lundberg, 18, who said he was having a party and that a number of uninvited guests brought more alcohol. Police said Lundberg later admitted to supplying the alcohol. Police found empty beer cans inside the house and around the home's exterior. Lundberg was issued a misdemeanor summons and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
