EASTON, Conn. How much do you know about the War of 1812? According its nickname, the forgotten war, the answer probably is, very little. But residents will have a chance to brush up on their history and learn more about the war that guaranteed Americas independence at a lecture hosted by the Easton Historical Society .
Just in time for the conflict's bicentennial anniversary, The Forgotten War of 1812 will be held at the Easton Public Library on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. Betty Oderwald, president of the U.S. Daughters of 1812, will share her knowledge about the war 1812 and its impact on Connecticut residents.
