Bridgeporter Surrenders on Warrants

Bridgeport resident Shawn Stone found himself in hot water with both Westport and state police for missing a court date. A bail enforcement officer brought Stone, 26, into the Westport Police Department on Monday on three active warrants: one issued by Westport police, the other two by State Police Troop G in Bridgeport. All were for failure to appear on motor vehicle violations. He is due in court Sept. 2 in Norwalk for one case, and Sept. 3 in Bridgeport for the other two.

Also from the police blotter:

Darien resident Robert Strada, 34, turned himself in to Westport police on Tuesday knowing the department had a warrant out for his arrest. The warrant stemmed from a July incident in which Strada allegedly made a threatening phone call to a Westport woman. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 3.
