Derick Gillaim, 29, of Bridgeport, along with Lancelot Supersad, Anthony Santiago and others committed seven armed robberies between April 26 and July 2, 2014, according to Deirdre M. Daly, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

The group stole more than $7,000 in all while hitting CVS Pharmacy in Fairfield, Mobil Gas station in Bridgeport, Webster Bank in Bridgeport, Pizza Hut in Bridgeport, the Residence Inn in Shelton, Sikorsky Financial Credit Union in Stratford and TD Bank in Westport, Daly said.

Gilliam pointed a handgun at employees during each robbery, Daly said. He plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to affect commerce by robbery, which carries a possible maximum of 20 years when he is sentenced in October. He has been detained since July 3, 2014 when he was arrested. Accomplices Supersad and Santiago also pleaded guilty to the same charges and are awaiting sentencing, Daly said.
