WESTPORT, Conn. Bridgeport resident William Horlacher was arrested by Westport police Thursday on four warrants stemming from bad check complaints from several businesses, police said.
The first warrant, from August, charged Horlacher with buying a $2,000 bicycle at Cycle Dynamics valued with a check for a closed account, police said. The second warrant charged that Horlacher bought a $2,000 bicycle at Targetraining Tri & Cycle in July using a check from a closed account.
The third warrant, also from July, charged that Horlacher bought clothing at Athletic Shoe Factory valued at over $200 using a check from a closed account. The fourth warrant, from August, charged that he bought a coin at Sam Sloat Coins valued at over $2,000 using a check from a closed account.
Horlacher was charged with four counts of issuing a bad check, sixth-degree larceny and third-degree larceny. He was at Norwalk Superior Court when the warrants were served and was held there for arraignment.
