Boy's Death In Bike Accident Tops News In Weston, Easton, Redding

WESTON, Conn. -- A 12-year-old boy from Weston died Monday in Wilton after his bicycle crashed near 150 Cedar Road, police said. A service was held Saturday for Joseph "AJ" Cina at St. Francis of Assisi in Weston.

The Westport-Weston Family Y reached a milestone in it's construction, which officials say is running slightly ahead of schedule.

Easton celebrated its annual Fireman's Carnival from Tuesday through Saturday.

Five percent of Redding lost power on Monday when a private contractor trimming trees on Portland Avenue knocked out a power line.

Two rowers from Redding and Weston have been named to the U.S. Junior National team that will compete in the World Rowing Junior Championships from Aug. 7-11 in Trakai, Lithuania.
