WESTON, Conn. - The town of Weston held its annual Memorial Day parade Monday, and big crowds turned out to enjoy sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s.
The parade has been sponsored for more than 50 years by the Weston Volunteer Fire Department.
This year's grand marshal was Mike Ferullo, a sergeant in the Weston Police Department and a member of the Coast Guard Reserve.
At the end of the parade, town officials held a brief ceremony at the gazebo outside Town Hall. A ceremonial wreath was also placed at the Memorial Stone near the Weston Public Library.
