? Dozens of volunteers and members of Sandy Hook victim Dylan Hockley's family gathered Friday morning at Westport's Long Lots School to break ground on a playground being built in Dylan's memory .
? Bartaco, a beach-themed taqueria, is in the final stages of construction at 20 Wilton Road and is expected to open within the next couple weeks.
? There was sad news this past week as the town mourned the death of longtime resident Robert "Bob" Lasprogato , the Republican Registrar of Votes and a former selectman. Lasprogato, an actor, well-known jazz musician and community volunteer, died Monday night at Norwalk Hospital. He was 71.
? A 44-year-old Westport woman made headlines after police said she drove drunk Tuesday night with four children in her vehicle.
? Black bears were the news on more than one occasion. A black bear was spotted roaming the streets in the northeast area of town last weekend. Then on Tuesday, a black bear cub was spotted in a tree in downtown Danbury . The cub was safely brought down from the tree by authorities and moved to a forest area.
