Actors Will Read Authors at Weston Library

WESTON, Conn. – Actors Frank Converse, Patrick Horgan and others will read novelists, playwrights and poets whose birthdays are in September at the Weston Library's inaugural “Actors Reading Authors” event at 7 p.m., Sept. 27. 

You can participate by reading a short passage from your favorite September author or gathering a group to re-create a scene from a play. Readings should range from three minutes for a monologue to five minutes for a scene.

Writers with September birthdays include Richard Wright, Leo Tolstoy, F. Scott Fitzgerald, William Faulkner, T.S. Eliot, D.H. Lawrence, Roald Dahl, Truman Capote, Elie Wiesel, H.G. Wells, Hilda Doolittle, Elinor Wylie, O. Henry, Sherwood Anderson, William Carlos Williams, Samuel Johnson, Donald Hall, Upton Sinclair and Jane Smiley,
