Actor From Westport Dies In Fall From NYC Apartment Building

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Staples High School graduate, 25-year-old Noah Witke, died Sunday morning after he fell from the roof of his Harlem apartment building, the New York Daily News reported.

Witke was a 2009 graduate of Staples and Staples Players actor, according to the Westport News.

He had been working at the New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center Saturday, and went out with co-workers and other actors for a party for the festival's closing, reported the New York Daily News.

Witke had some drinks, then left the bar around an hour before the tragedy, said the report.

He reportedly had left his keys and bag at Lincoln Center, so he attempted to get onto the fire escape and into his Amsterdam Avenue apartment building, police told the New York Daily News.

Witke was an alumnus of Juilliard School and a working actor in New York City, the Westport News said.
