WESTON, Conn. — Former Weston High School basketball coach Mike Hvizdo appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America" Friday to defend his appearance in a short film that school administrators called vulgar, demeaning and "sexually explicit."
Hvizdo resigned Feb. 7 after school administrators learned about the 9-minute film.
"It may not be the type of film everybody likes to watch but nothing illegal, not pornographic, no nudity," Hvizdo said in the "Good Morning America" interview.
Hvizdo has since received strong support from parents and students , who have asked the school district to give him his job back. Weston High School may be reconsidering, the ABC report says.
"Sources tell us the school is in talks with Hvizdo, working on possibly rehiring him," reporter Gio Benitez says.
