WESTON, Conn. --  Kerry, Andrea, Olivia and Leo Brosnan recently were honored by the Weston Volunteer Fire Department for saving a man's life by pulling him out of a reservoir.

On Aug. 28, the Brosnon family was parked at a pull-off on Valley Forge Road in Weston when they spotted a man floating face down in the reservoir. The family jumped into action and tried to save the man.

They were able to pull him of the water and call 911. The Weston Fire Department, Weston EMS, Weston PD and Redding PD responded to the scene.

The man was transported to the Norwalk Hospital and survived.

The Weston Volunteer Department gave each family member a framed citation for their selfless act.
