A pregnant woman was assaulted last week during a violent dispute involving three Bridgeport residents at the Westport Stop & Shop. When police arrived at the store at 1790 Post Road East, they found Willaneshia Beverly, who is pregnant, bleeding from the head. Beverly, 20, told police her ex-boyfriend, Phillip Lalor, assaulted her. Lalor, 22, who is allegedly the father of Beverly's unborn child, was immediately taken into custody.
Further investigation revealed that 20-year-old Victor Diaz, an acquaintance of Beverly's, brought her to the store to confront Lalor's new girlfriend. Police said Lalor assaulted Beverly after she allegedly slashed one of his tires. Diaz and Lalor reportedly got into a fight inside the store as well.
Lalor was charged with second-degree assault of a pregnant person and two counts of breach of peace. He appeared in court on Oct. 7 and his next court date is scheduled for Nov. 17. Diaz was charged with breach of peace and threatening. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 18. Beverly was charged with breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief. She appeared in court on Oct. 7 and her next court date is scheduled for Nov. 3.

? Westport police served Bridgeport resident Bealton Dumas, 49, with three arrest warrants Wednesday night. The warrants stem from December 2007 burglaries of the office building at 10 Wright St. They charge Dumas, who is serving time at the Bridgeport Correctional Center for unrelated burglary charges, with three counts of third-degree burglary . He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 18.
? Westport resident Anthony Sena of 10 West End Avenue was arrested Thursday night on a warrant. The warrant stems from a September incident in which Sena, 43, allegedly reported his car stolen when actually he had sold it. He was charged with second-degree filling of a false report and is due in court on Oct. 18.
