21-Year-Old Dies in I-95 Westport Crash

WESTPORT, Conn. – (Updated 1:30 p.m.) A North Haven man was killed early Monday after he crashed into a tree on Interstate 95 southbound in Westport, state police said.

Michael Landino, 21, lost control of his Toyota Scion when he got off the highway at Exit 18, traveling at a high rate of speed, the accident report said. His car drove across the grass embankment and struck a tree.

Police said there was no sign that Landino used his brakes. The accident happened shortly after 1 a.m.
