WESTPORT, Conn. More than $10,000 worth of clothing was stolen Wednesday night from Tina Dragone, an upscale woman's clothing store located at 1687 Post Road E., police said.
Police were called to the store on a report of a burglary in progress. First responding officers found that a front window has been smashed, police said. It also appeared as if the suspect had tried to enter through a window on the east side of the building, police said.
Some of the stolen items were found discarded a short distance away, and a K-9 unit was called in to try to track the suspect, although the search was unsuccessful, police said. Tina Dragone, the store's owner, reported that fur items and other assorted clothing were stolen.
