The organization helps senior men transitioning from professional careers to the rest of their lives. It provides opportunities to stay physically and mentally active, meet new people and take up new activities or continue old ones.

"Y’s Men is the largest and most dynamic organization of retired and semi-retired men in Fairfield County,” group President Brian Strong said in a statement. “Among our strengths is the broad base of leadership expertise we can tap into to guide the group.”

Y’s Men meets every Thursday from September to May. Members mingle and chat over coffee and doughnuts, then gather to hear important speakers – politicians, business leaders, arts and sports people, medical people with expertise in areas of particular interest to senior citizens, even an occasional group member who has a story to share.
