Wilton Hosts Annual Halloween Hustle 5K, Scarecrow Scamper For Kids

WILTON, Conn. – The Wilton Chamber of Commerce will hold the 12th annual Halloween Hustle 5K and Scarecrow Scamper Kid’s Run on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m.

Race among the scarecrows through Wilton Center’s Wicked Way, the Halloween Parade & trick-or-treating route, as hundreds of spectators in the spooky Center cheer you on.

Participants are encouraged to don a spooky, madcap or “boo”-tiful Halloween costume. Awards for runners and prizes for the best individual and group costumes will be announced after the race.

The 5K course will wind through Wilton Center, head up to the high school and end at Merwin Meadows. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. in the Wilton Center with a 10 a.m. start. The Scarecrow Scamper kids’ run starts at Merwin Meadows at 11 a.m. when the 5K is finished.

Pre-registered runners will receive a Halloween Hustle custom-designed t-shirt and goodie bag. All Scarecrow Scampers win pumpkin participation medals. Runner packets are available for pickup on the morning of the race, beginning at 9 a.m.

Runners can register online here. Registration is $30 for the 5K, or $10 for the Scarecrow Scamper. 

The Wilton Center is located at 120 Old Ridgefield Road in Wilton.
