The campaign is designed to help the Make-A-Wish Connecticut fulfill the 150 wishes it grants on average each year to children across the state battling life-threatening medical conditions, according to a press release. Gault Energy is looking to its more than 100 employees and thousands of customers, as well as residents across the eight Fairfield County communities it serves, to help make wishes come true.
More than 80 percent of every dollar donated to the Connecticut chapter of Make-A-Wish goes directly toward the wishes they grant, according to Make-A-Wish Connecticut Development Director Kim Smith in the press release.
“Whether a child dreams of meeting his/her favorite movie star, taking a family trip to Walt Disney World or going on a cruise, or even being a superhero, the money raised by ‘Dollars for Dreams’ will go a long way to helping Make-A-Wish Connecticut make these dreams come true,” said Smith.
Gault Energy & Stone President Sam Gault said the company is making an initial donation of $5,000 to kick off the campaign.
“As a parent, I believe that every child deserves a childhood that is filled with love and laughter. And, when a child is battling a life-threatening illness, it’s up to all of us to do what we can to give that child, and his or her family, a much-needed boost or a reason to smile,” said Gault. “We’re proud to support Make-A-Wish Connecticut and know that we can count on Fairfield County residents and businesses to join us in our fundraising efforts.”
Those interested in making a donation are asked to visit the Gault Energy website.
