WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Westport Writers' Workshop is set to present its May Flowers art exhibit.
The exhibit opens during the spring open house from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the in the new Westport Writers' Workshop space at 3 Sylvan Road S. in Westport. The exhibit will feature Weston's Julie Leff.
"Julie is the creator of floral oil paintings that she reproduces in limited editions with archival pigments on canvas and paper in her own studio," said a press release. "It has long been a goal of the Workshop to help nurture and celebrate the visual arts in the local community as well as provide a beautiful and inspiring writing environment for its participants."
Westport Writers' Workshop Executive Director Valerie Ann Leff said she is thrilled about the exhibit.
“I am so excited to introduce the artwork of my sister, Julie Leff, to our writing community," Valerie Ann Leff said in the release. "She paints the most gorgeous florals—I’ve always called them ‘heroic florals’—that are perfect for a spring exhibit.”
The workshop will be exhibiting and selling prints of all sizes, ranging in price from about $100 to $2,000, many already framed. Hors d'oeuvres, sweets, and beverages will be served.
