Westport Weston Y Plans Youth Programs For February School Break

WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Westport Weston Family Y is set to host several special programs for the winter school break.

Westport public schools will be closed Feb. 17 to 21 and Weston schools are in recess on Feb. 17 and 18. The Westport Weston Family Y will kick off the programs on Friday, Feb. 14 with Teen Night, when the Y turns into a clubhouse for middle-schoolers. Kids from sixth- to eighth-grade can enjoy programs from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Y. Programs include basketball, swimming, bingo, ping pong and other games and karaoke. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.

The Family Y’s "Hafaday Swim Lesson Program" for children ages 4 to 8 years old will take place from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day starting Monday, Feb. 17. The cost is $270 for Y members and $295 for non-members.

Young dancers from ages 3 to 5 can learn the basics of dancing at Princess Dance Camp from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from Feb. 17 to 20. The fee is $200, and no Y membership is required.
