Westport-Weston Y Celebrates 90th Birthday With Street Party On Wednesday

WESTPORT-WESTON, Conn. -- The Westport-Weston Family Y will close down Church Lane for an old-fashioned street party in celebration of 90 years of service to the community on Wednesday.

Free activities will include three bounce houses, face painting, a magician and balloon sculpturist and other activities for young children.

There will also be music, light snacks, a display of vintage cars, an appearance by WWE Hall of Fame wrestling champ Mick Foley, a performance by the Y’s Showtime Exhibition Gymnastics team and a pep rally for the 200-member Water Rat Swim Team.

At 5:30 pm on Church Lane, there will be a group sing-along of “Happy Birthday, Family Y,” with cake and beverages.

Parking will be available in the municipal lot on Elm Street.

The Westport Weston Family Y is located at 59 Post Road in Westport.
