WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Westport Weston Family Y will conduct its Mahackeno summer day camp in conjunction with its Hafaday Swim Lesson Program at the Y’s downtown facility, located at 59 Post Road, next summer.

The joint Hafaday-Mahackeno 2014 camp program will have 10 one-week sessions, beginning June 16 and ending the week of Aug. 22. You can register for both programs starting Monday, Jan 6, by clicking here or calling 203-226-8981.

For 2014, the Y’s Hafaday learn-to-swim program will be for children ages four through 12 and will feature a lesson, a free swim, games and crafts every day from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Groups will be arranged so that activities are age-appropriate for all campers.

Camp Mahackeno will begin at 12:30 p.m. for children ages 6 through 12 who choose to extend the day. These campers will have lunch and then move on to group games, game-room time, theater projects, weekly field trips and other activities until 4 p.m.

The Y anticipates the Hafaday-Mahackeno 2014 summer camp program to take place in the current Gymnastics Center due to renovations to the Mahackeno summer camp facility.
