The drive honors the life of Adam and Monica Chusid’s daughter who died when she was 15 months old. The drive, which is in its 19th year, benefits more than 1,000 children from Bridgeport to Brooklyn, N.Y., during the holiday season. Area charitable organizations, churches and hospitals help to distribute the toys.

Among the organizations receiving toys this year are Weston Social Services, Westport Health and Social Services, the Carver Center in Norwalk, the Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst, Jewish Family Services, Bridgeport Hospital, Danbury Resources Center and the Make a Wish Foundation.
