WESTPORT, Conn. – Kids enrolled in the Wakeman Town Farm Junior Farmer Camp in Westport are getting their hands dirty learning what it takes to be a farmer.
As part of the program, students are learning the secrets behind successfully sowing seeds, planting, weeding and harvesting organic produce. The weeklong camp sessions also offer kids the opportunity to prepare food using vegetables straight from the gardens.
