Westport Police Department's Holiday Toy Drive Begins Friday

WESTPORT, Conn. — The Westport Police Department will make the season a little brighter for kids in need with their annual Holiday Toy Drive.

Westport police collect donated toys during a past year's holiday toy drive. This year's toy drive will be held Dec. 9, 10, 16 and 17 outside the Athletic Shoe Factory, 1560 Post Road E.

Hosted by the Local Union 2080 and the Police Benevolent Association, the program runs from Dec. 1 through 17 at several locations around town.

The organization is accepting new, unopened and unwrapped toys as well as cash donations. Thousands of toys donated to the program will be distributed throughout Fairfield County and beyond.

Westport officers will accept donations in the parking lot of ASF Sports & Outdoors, 1560 Post Road East, on Dec. 9, 10, 16 and 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In case of inclement weather, call the Westport Police Department at 203-341-6000.

Collection boxes will also be set up at the following locations: Westport Police Department, Westport Town Hall, ASF Sports & Outdoors and Renato’s Jewelers.
