Breaking News: Flu Kills Seven More In Connecticut; Officials Say Worst Is Over

Westport Neighbors Notes

WESTORT, Conn. — Our Westport neighbors have shown their sense of community by embracing every challenging situation that has been thrown their way. The last few months we have stood together in hurricanes and snow storms, we have helped each other when the power was out, and held each other’s hand as we awaited Westport’s finest to apprehend a dangerous criminal.

We have proven that as a community we are resilient to anything that comes our way. This week I want to spotlight the hard working people in our town who helped us get through some crazy days.Thank you to all of our neighbors and especially our law enforcement, fire department and EMS for their courageous daily efforts to keep us safe.

Congratulations to all of the leaders that were elected into office this week. Thank you for leading our community in the right direction. You are an example to all of our little leaders in town.

Bravo to Brownie Troop CES 50190. Olivia Bernard, Sutton Lindau, Anna Bunger, Clara Holleman, Emma Caitlin Maloney and Emily Greenblatt shared their time and talents by making dresses out of pillowcases for children in orphanages in Africa for Make a Difference Day. You have demonstrated a tremendous act of kindness. For more information on Little Dresses for Africa , please log onto .

Bravo to Gabrielle DiBianco , a real estate agent for The Higgins Group . Gabrielle was appointed as the 2012 National Association of Realtors president’s liaison to the Italian Federation of Real Estate Agents in Italy. For more information on Gabrielle and The Higgins Group, log onto .
