WESTPORT, Conn. The wicked witches of Westport were flying through the air, hovering over Main Street, drowning the annual Halloween parade with their tears.
But not even a witch could dampen the young spirits who gathered at Town Hall to celebrate Halloween. The annual Halloween parade has become a tradition with Westports kids thanks to the Downtown Merchants Association , Parks & Recreation and the Westport Police Athletic League .
The Westport Young Womans League , however, hosted its annual children's Halloween party on a sunny and warm day. Emily Hall entertained the little ones while the moms socialized. Emilys own mom, MaryAnn Hall , is a member of the league and she knows how special this event is. Thanks to Athina Meehan for coordinating such a wonderful party and to all the children who sparkled in their customs.
Everyone is enjoying the fresh fall air, even some local pets. Feisty Tucker Openshaw stole some pumpkins while his family enjoyed some fresh air in the back yard. Tuckers mom, Lynne , is still wondering what happened to that pumpkin?
