Westport Neighbors Notes

WESTPORT, Conn. — The Slice of Saugatuck Festival was a slice of heaven. “We feel like we are on vacation,” said Zoe Engle , who was reunited with her childhood pals Jessica, Gabriella, Kimie and Yo-Yo . The girls all started their freshman years at Staples without Zoe. Zoe attends King School in Stamford and misses her buddies.

Marcy Dearth eagerly waited in line to sample items from Julian’s Pizza with her pals Bruce and Ruth Donohue, Kevin and Linda Collins and Leslie Oglivy . It was a great day to see old friends and neighbors walking the streets of the Saugatuck area. Jeannie Smith took advantage of the day to campaign with her youngest child for the Board of Education.

Happy 12th birthday to my nephew, Ian Joseph Cooney — congratulations and have a great day buddy! We are also celebrating the 80th birthday of the Westport Country Playhouse and its entertainment and memories. Bravo to all who have helped make the Playhouse what it is today. Please visit www.westportplayhouse.org for a schedule of upcoming events.

Congratulations to Susan Gold , executive director of the Westport Historical Society. Susan, her staff and docents have been working hard on the upcoming Frazier Peters exhibit. On Oct. 2, the long-awaited exhibit, Frazier Forman Peters: At Home With Stone, will open to the public. For more information, visit www.westporthistory.org .
