FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Jerry Vigorito, the senior vice president of Westport-based Atlantic Residential Mortgage, has been named “Artist of the Year” by The Fairfield Theatre Company.
Vigorito is the is co-founder of Band Together CT , a grass-roots organization that assembles local and national artists to raise money for Connecticut-based charity organizations. The money raised through concerts is given to the charity served; such as The Center for Woman and Families, Alzheimer’s Association, Near and Far Aid, Hand for a Paw and CT Challenge. As of 2013, Band Together CT has raised more than $1 million.
Vigorito's love of music coupled with his passion to help others drove him to the concept that is Band Together CT. During the day, Vigorito is a mortgage broker for Atlantic Residential Mortgage, which consistently has been ranked number one in Connecticut. As senior vice president, he has been guiding Connecticut families with the loan process for more than 28 years. Vigorito's commitment to helping others is one of the many reasons he has become successful in the mortgage business and on stage performing with Band Together CT.
In 2010, he also was honored with the Red Cross “Hero” award along with recognition by the state of Connecticut.

The Fairfield Theatre Company will be honoring Vigorito and Band together CT at a gala Nov. 16 at The Fairfield Theatre Company..
