Westport Man Receives Honorary Doctorate From Manhattan School Of Music

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport resident Peter G. Robbins received an honorary doctorate from the Manhattan School of Music during the school's 88th commencement ceremony Friday, May 16.

Robbins' son first attended Manhattan School of Music in 2006. Robbins, a former Wall Street executive and entrepreneur, became chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Manhattan School of Music in 2007. 

During his tenure, Robbins worked to help the school's endowment grow more than twofold. 

He also serves on the board of the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art as well as the Westport Country Playhouse.
