WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport Library officials are inviting residents to come take a look at renovation plans for the library during a public forum Nov. 10 at the Westport Library.

The 7 p.m. meeting features Executive Director Bill Harmer going over details of the plan and answering questions. It all takes place in the McManus Room in the library, 20 Jesup Road, Westport.

Library officials are looking at transformation plans for the building that will update the current interior plus add on more space. An updated and expanded Riverwalk level, a new entrance on the Jesup Green side, a central meeting room for 400 people and more study areas are just some of the features of the transformation plan.

Plans also include new HVAC and electrical systems, new plumbing and new lighting. All are invited to learn more at the Nov. 10 meeting, library officials said.
